Track Changes
HI!
I was just curious how teams are utilizing the track changes feature in Next Gen Documents. We've never relied on track changes in any of our Wdesk filings in Classic. Do teams use it throughout their reporting process or just at a certain point in the process? Do you find it any more useful than just reviewing a blackline of changes?
Sincerely,
Ashley W

Right now I turn on track changes once we have a solid draft of the document and we've sent for review. At that point, my team makes the edits we receive from reviewers and I approve those track changes as a check that they're updated correctly. It's more steps for sure, but it gives us a little preparer/reviewer comfort that at least one other team member has looked at every single change from that point on. A good Blackline review will of course accomplish the same thing, especially if you have a formalized drafting timeline/process. We use blacklines too, but more for sending out to reviewers.
Good question and I'm always curious what others have done. At past companies we've turned on track changes at some point too.
