Columns and Tables in Next Gen Document
1. I have a next gen document (text) with two columns. I have two tables in each of the two columns so kind of a 2x2 grid of tables.
I'd like to add a 5th table to the bottom of same page which spans the width of the entire document. This table would be under the 4 tables mentioned earlier.
Is that possible?
2. Does or will Documents support adding Presentation type objects like boxes, circles, lines, etc.?
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
There are two approaches that I can think of to solve item 1...
1) put the 5th table into a new section that is set to single column at the bottom of the page.
2) For a little more control, you may want to make the page a giant table without columns. For example, it could be 3 columns and 5 rows. You would then make the 2nd column with transparent borders on top and bottom, and the 2nd and 4th rows with transparent borders in the appropriate locations. You would then merge the columns in the bottom row to get your 5th cell.
For the second part, I tend to use images created off the platform to get the look I want. That being said, have you explored the chart generator?
Hope this helps,
Nancy
0Sorry. You can ignore question #1. By inserting another column break and then changing the number of columns to one, I was able to add the 5th table to the bottom of the page.
Still curious about #2 though.

0Thank you Nancy. I just replied to my own post 1 minute before seeing your response. As for the 2nd part of my original question.I was looking for the option of possibly adding 4 text boxes in a grid similar to the way I described the 4 tables I have in a grid, and then allowing for free text entry, or linked text into these boxes.I will give your recommendation a try too. Thank you
0Greg Barnard In reference to your second question regarding adding objects to images similar to how you would in presentations is not an option at this time. However, I have submitted this idea last year and this year at the idea lab during Amplify. Hope this helps answer your question. As for when this would be available and the priority of this is undetermined at this time I believe.
