Columns of different size in Documents

Do you have the ability to set different column widths within a Document? For example, if I had a small image I wanted to place in one column with a longer title next to it, can I manipulate the column widths in any fashion?

    Hi Darryl!

    Apologies for missing this one. I was out on vacay during this time and it got missed when I came back. By now I'm sure you've found some resolution, but wanted to follow-up.

    I did some testing with two columns in a document, and using a two cell table for image and adjacent text. Currently you can't control the size of the columns when you enable more than one column in your document, but you can adjust the gutter size. There's some ongoing request for this functionality, and I'm happy to include you in that request as well.

    I did find that inserting an image into a table cell and then text in the adjacent cell worked pretty well. Here's a quick example of both:

    Is there a solution to this that doesn't involve putting everything into a table? I currently have two columns in my document, one side that has text and the other side has multiple tables, so I cannot put my tables into another table.

    Hi Carley,

    Sorry for the delay here. I'm not sure if it helps, but it is possible for side-by-side Charts instead of images in a table, but the same constraints would exist, i.e. they'd need be scaled to fit and the two-column setup would need adjusting. You can set one specific section or even paragraph to not be two column to perhaps get this to fit the way you desire. Does that make sense?

    Hmm, not sure I fully understand. Is it helpful for me to share the following..

    My document currently looks like this - 2 columns in a word doc of equal width:

    I want to be able to adjust the two column widths so that it looks like this - 2 columns in a word doc with unequal widths:

    I've done this in Word. Is it possible in Wdesk docs?

    Gotcha. So it seems like you are looking to adjust the width of columns when setting them? If so, that is currently not possible, though, as mentioned above, that is something we're looking into.
