Why is there a grey dot representing a directed comment?
AnsweredHi, I see that I can view all comments in my document by opening the comments panel; however with the numbers in the outline and the grey corresponding dot, I am hoping that there is a way simply to access ONE comment or open and close (not delete or resolve) them as they are shown by the dots etc. It is more fiddly to try to navigate them using the comments panel as there isn't a "close comment" open in that panel. With all the comments open, and not being able to close each comment, it is cumbersome.
Is there a way to open the comment using the grey dot (otherwise why is it there)? Or can you put a close comment option in the comment panel? Have I missed something easy? We use directed comments all the time and sometimes there can be a long chain of replies.
Thanks

Hi Barbara!
I think I follow what you are saying. We've had some recent feedback on the comments panel, and our Product Team is pursuing features to having those comments show by active section, and in the order they are in the file, not the order they were added. Happy to add you to those requests as well. I've not seen a request as of yet for adding a "close comment" option but I'll certainly add that in as well.
Outside of that, you should be able to click on those grey dots in the document itself and view the comment, reply and or resolve/delete. Click back off the comment also closes it. Here's a quick example.
Are you not seeing the option to click on those circles, or have I missed the mark there? Let me know what questions you have on the above, or if you need anything else. Thanks as always for your feedback and chat with you soon. Cheers!
