Test Filing
AnsweredIs there anyway to be able to test file an 8K before the filing date? It won’t let you go through all the steps because it gives an XBRL warning that the filing date is in the future, but then we have to wait until the day of to test file. Is there anything I can do other than having to change every single date in the 8K and then changing it back to the real one?

Mary - you can actually still test file the day before if it's after 2:30 eastern time I believe (since I'm on the west coast and I have to wait until 5:30 pm) and you won't get that error.
0Hi Mary, if you need to see an accepted test filing prior to your live filing date you would need to change the date in your document/iXBRL to reflect the current date. If you are test filing the day before your filing, you can also submit the test filing after 5:30pm EST and the SEC would accept this as they no longer consider it a future date. We recommend that a test filing always be performed and reviewed the day of your live filing as the SEC may have changed something overnight that could invalidate the result of the previous days test filing.
