    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the question. I'm asking around to see what all is possible here. To confirm, are you looking to export only a report of the comments, or to export the document but also include comments marked as resolved?

Hi Mike - I am looking to export the document which is inclusive of all comments and related responses (even for those comments marked as resolved), therefore providing a full "audit" trail if that makes sense?

Yep, that makes sense for sure. Thanks for clarifying!

    Any update on this?

    Hi Tom!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was confirming a few last minute items with folks but I think I have some updates for you.

Yes, if you export a Document to PDF and include the comments with it, that should include Resolved as well as Open comments. The only comments it won't would be those that were deleted, but they also wouldn't be in the file either.

There was a hiccup in the system recently that did cause issues with comments showing up in PDF exports. However, that has since been resolved. In my testing I was seeing discrepancies related to that, but it has since worked as mentioned above.

My apologies again for not getting to you sooner. If you are finding something different or you have any questions for me on the above, let me know. Thanks much and have an awesome weekend!

Hi, as far as I can see, the hiccup in the system regarding exporting PDFs that include comments still seems to be present.  I'm trying to export a PDF including the comments.  I check the box for including comments under the advanced tab, but no comments are included in the PDF that is produced.

Hmm... thanks for the heads-up on that Brian Bishop. Let me bring this back up to the team.

Mike - I stand corrected.  It appears to have exported the comments, but I wasn't able to see them initially.  Thank you.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying. Indeed, they can be tricky to find on the PDFs.

We are also having issues exporting comments to a PDF.  I was able to export the initial comments to a PDF, but the response to the initial comments are not being saved.  Any idea how to fix this?

Also, is there a way to review a blackline with the comments included?

    Hi Erika!

I've connected with our Support Team on this too (I believe you were working with Joelle earlier) and we are looking into this for you. We'll be in touch with some answers for you soon, but do let me know if you need anything from me in the meantime. Thanks and stay awesome!

Hi! I am just following up on this as I am able to see the comments in the PDF but not any of the responses. Has there been an update or is there another way to preserve the comments and responses?

Hi Brittany - I was able to see the responses. I had to go into the comments view within the PDF and you could see the responses from there.

Thanks for the follow-up Thomas Whitwell. You are correct, you have to enable to comments on the PDF to see them there.

Thanks! That worked. I appreciate the quick response.
