Are there any situations where two separate organizations make sense?
AnsweredNot many—creating multiple organizations creates many of the same problems Workspaces were designed to solve: inability to share data, multiple billing cycles, users with multiple usernames and audit logs, and difficulties determining exactly how many users were actively using the Workiva platform given duplicate usernames.
The rare instance where we do utilize multiple organizations is the parent/subsidiary relationship where the two entities function largely independently. It should also be noted that if you do choose to utilize multiple organizations, any user that needs to be in both organizations may need to be added by a Workiva, as this is an atypical arrangement and one the platform is set up to avoid.
