Permissions - default permissions for files in a project
AnsweredBut if I create a document within this project, this document allows all the people to view it.
So I'd like to ask whether there is any way to make documents created with a project follow the project's permission automatically.
Thanks.

What you are seeing is expected. Documents contained within a project do not inherit their permission from the project itself but have completely separate permissions themselves. These permissions are controlled by the Default Permission Sets, found in the Admin panel. There is a default set for projects and for documents. That being said, these permissions could be altered so that both newly created documents and projects would have the same permissions. An Admin would need to make this edit. More information on this can be found here on the Help site: https://success.workiva.com/help/admin/permissions-tab
Additionally, you can create your own permission set that you can then reuse on other documents or projects. In your case, you could create a set that has you as the only Owner with no other access allowed and then reapply this set to the documents in the project as well. More information on creating a permission set is available here on Help as well: https://success.workiva.com/help/documents/collaboration/document-permissions
Lastly, the ability to change the permission of all files in a project is something that our Product Team is investigating. I've shared your interest in this feature and will keep you updated here with any new information. If you have any questions for me in the meantime, let me know, thanks!0Please sign in to leave a comment.
