New platform - user setup of review only access

    Hi Kim,

    The answer to your question depends up on a few things. When you say new platform, do you mean a new licensing platform? Currently, Wdesk supports a few of these, but the newest ones are V3 and/or Solution Based Licensing (SBL). Since you mentioned 'Starter', I assume you mean V3 licensing, since that particular seat doesn't exist in SBL.

    That being said, under V3 licensing, those members with Starter seats cannot be restricted to "can only open reviews", which was available for Reviewers in the V2 licensing model. The only caveat here is that if you have V3 AND also use our Workspaces product, you would have the ability to apply a "Limited Starter" role to a member, which behaves just like the classic "can only open reviews" member setting.

    There are some other nuances with SBL and our SOX Database product too, which may also impact your license structuring in Wdesk. Our Product Team is actively working on improvements here so definitely keep your eyes peeled to our Release Info for improvements and updates. Lastly, if you are unsure about your current account's setup, your CSM would be able to specify for you.
