    If you're using Spreadsheets, then open your section, and then hit Alt + ~ to get the overlay to appear.  You'll notice that the locked cells are a different colour than those that are unlocked.  This is the quick and easy way to see which cells are locked and which aren't.

    We use this for cell history too if you select "Authorship" from the drop down then you can see who edited what cell.

    Thanks Dan!  Would you happen to know if there is a similar function in Presentations?  Using the overlay feature to see the authorship would be useful in Presentations as well to quickly see who may have modified the presentation.

    I don't think this is available in presentations.  The only way I know is to look at revision history to see who modified the section last.
