Attachments in Next Generation?

Is there no option to add attachments in next generation documents?  I can still add them to classic documents, but the option is gone for any documents I have transitioned to the next generation format.  If it is gone, is this something that will be added later?

    You might have seen already but in case you missed it, a recent release to Wdesk has now made it available to attach supporting files to next gen Documents (and Presentations).     Hi Tim - this is Brian Loucks, the product manager for attachments. We are planning to add attachments in next generation documents by late Q4 this year or early 2020. It's probably worth noting for other readers that we recently added attachments support in Spreadsheets.

    Hi Jennifer!

    Currently in next gen, attached documents are only able to be downloaded and not viewed. Having an attachment viewer, as well as markup, is on our Product Team's future roadmap for sure. I've made sure to connect your request with the team and we'll keep you posted there with new developments.

    Hi! Any update on this? It seems that NexGen has lost all of the functionalities (tag, show and hide tags, open pdf in web browser etc.) that came with attachment in the classic version.

    The current next gen attachments feature is not yet at full parity with Classic attachments, notably with no ability to view or markup the attached file. Rest assured that our Product Team is focused on making sure next gen attachments (and the Support Binders feature) do live up to what you were used to in Classic, and then some. As far as an updated, I can say that its on the agenda to have these features made available in Q3 2020 and I've made sure to connect your feedback to the team.
