That's a good call, Philip Dance!

I assume you are referring to the recent release of "Keep Links to Linked Files"? If so, I tested it to make sure it would work as you mentioned and indeed, it would achieve what you are looking for, i.e. creating a copy of a file or files but keeping the same source file. Keep in mind, though, that this release only works for next generation file types.

Serena Legere - as Phillip points out, this would be achievable now, but only if you were copying next generation types. For example, if you had a next generation Document and Presentation both linked to a next generation Spreadsheet, you can copy them from a project, or individually, and from the Copy options, you would see this option:

By selecting, it keeps the same source file, i.e. the Spreadsheet, but copies the other file or files. Again, this is only for next generation types, meaning this won't work if you have a classic file linked to a next generation Spreadsheet.

Let me know if you have any questions on this feature or need anything else. Happy copying in the meantime and have a great day!
