Is there a feature in the next gen documents similar to the outline label progress indicator in the Documents?

Great news, a recent release to Wdesk has now made outline labels universally available in next gen. To access, simply enable them from the top of you outline on the left-hand side:
Note that you need to be an Owner of the file to enable or disable the labels.

Thanks for the question. The outline labels feature is currently being worked on and is planned to be available in next generation Documents in mid 2019. I do not see the outline label progress indicator on the list of Document features at the new generation features transition link. Any update?

Good call, we are definitely past mid 2019 at this point. I checked with the team and this particular feature has been pushed to late 2019. This is also reflected on the above site too. Perhaps not exactly what you wanted to hear but the good news is that its being worked on for more than just next gen Documents, but also Spreadsheets and Presentations too.
