Filing warning about PNG image

    Hi Heather,

Happy to help to answer this for you. This warning usually occurs when an image is uploaded to your filing project that is in PNG format and that image is subsequently renamed to something with a .jpg filename. Though it looks compliant, the image itself is still in PNG format, which is not EDGAR compliant. To resolve this error, follow these steps:

    1. Download the image from your project
    2. Open in the image in MS Paint (or another photo editing program)
    3. Save the image to your computer as either a JPEG or GIF format, both of which are EDGAR compliant
    4. Upload the newly saved image to your project
    5. Replace the image in your document

After following the above, you'll need to regenerate EDGAR but this should resolve your error message. Note that you'll also want to remove the errant PNG image from your project as well, to avoid any confusion or further issues.

Let me know if you have questions for me on the above or need any further help. Hope you have a great filing in the meantime. Cheers!
