Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Andrena Dicks. I wanted to confirm a few things on our end but the good news is I do have an answer for you.

At this time you'd still have to submit your earnings presentation (or any next gen pres you wish to submit) as a PDF that you then EDGARize. The process for next gen also has a few extra steps, which are:

    1. Create a next gen filing package
    2. Export your next generation presentation to PDF
    3. Upload the PDF to Home (far right of the screen from Files view)
    4. Open the next gen filing package
    5. At Collect choose Add Source Documents and from here select your PDF
    6. At the next pop-up window, you'll want the first option, which will create the EDGARized version
    7. Once that is finished, you can continue along to the Label step
    8. From here, indicate that the .htm file is the Exhibit, and leave the label blank for the PDF (unless you want to supply an unofficial copy)
    9. Proceed through the filing as normal
    10. Have fun!

I will say that there is work in progress EDGARize a next gen Presentation more directly and I've shared your interest with the team. If you have any questions on the steps outlined above, or need anything else, let me know and I'll be happy to help. Thanks as always and have an awesome day!

    Hello Patricia,

Great questions! I'm happy to help answer them for you.

First, you are correct that if you are adding a PowerPoint presentation to your filing as an exhibit, the procedure would be to convert the PowerPoint to PDF and then upload to your project. This PDF would then get EDGARized, i.e. converted to an acceptable format for filing. There are some steps outlined in this Help article to guide you through that process:

Regarding your second question, you can either add the exhibit number to the PDF prior to uploading to Wdesk or you can change the name after uploading it. The name of the file itself doesn't officially denote that it is an exhibit, however. That being said, the name of the PDF does play a role in the file name of generated EDGAR file. For example, if my PDF is called 'MyExhibit99.1.pdf', then the corresponding EDGAR document generated from the previously mentioned steps would be 'myexhibit991.htm'. Wdesk changes the name accordingly to be EDGAR compliant. Note that during the 'Select Filing Documents' step of the Filing Wizard in Wdesk, you will be able to signify that the generated EDGAR document is in your exhibit. Here is a Help article outlining that process:

Hope that helps answer your question. Let me know if you need any clarification on the above or have any further questions for me. Thanks as always and have a super day!

Mike - Are you able to use Presentations to create an earnings presentation that you can directly file with the SEC rather than having to PDF it and re-uploaded to the project?
