Taxonomy from iXBRL
AnsweredHi, is there a way to identify if the filer is using Taxonomy 2018 or 2019 from iXBRL from the SEC.GOV site?
Also, we are arranging an in-house training on XBRL review. Are there materials that you can direct me so I can share some of the best practices on reviewing XBRL among filers? Thanks.

Hi Kenny!
I was able to find out how you can identify what taxonomy is being used for an iXBRL filer.
When viewing the iXBRL document, select any tagged item and click on Information under the Menu option in the top left corner. Then advance the pop-up window to the Additional Items window and there you will see the info under Taxonomy.
Regarding reviewing XBRL among filers, one site that can be useful is Arelle.org. You can see some good info there. I'd be curious what others might be using to cross compare as well, but that's a common one for sure.
Hope that helps some. Give me a holler if you have any questions or need anything else. Thanks as always and have a super day!0Please sign in to leave a comment.
