Possible to set a default view permission for uploaded files?

As an update here, as Projects are soon to be sunset as part of the Classic platform, part of this item will be addressed. In addition, there has since been added the functionality to upload content into Home and the default permission that is applied there is the Default Account Permission set. This set is found in Classic Account Admin currently but soon these sets will be moved fully over into Workspace Settings, but wanted to let you know.
Give me a holler if there are any questions on the above or if you need anything else.
Hi Ben!
At this time, there is no editable default permission for uploaded files. You are correct that currently it only grants permission to the person who performs the upload. How content is permissioned in Wdesk is definitely something our Product Team is working on, including permissions within Home. I've shared your interest in this enhancement with the team and will keep you updated here going forward.
As a workaround, you could upload these files into to a project and they will inherit the permission of the project by default, so you could keep a project that acts as your 'upload' project, and these files will all get the same permission.
Let me know if you have any questions for me on the above or need anything else. Thanks, and have a great day!0Was this fixed? It looks like there was a response 2 years ago, but I still have the issue with files uploaded with a default permission to only the person doing the upload or creation.
0Hi Lindsey!
This is as of yet not 100% fixed as Permission Sets (where the defaults exist) are in flux at the moment. Similar to the ask above, what would you desire the permission be for uploaded files?
