Is there a centralized listing of formulas to be used with Spreadsheets?
Answered-
Hi Abigail,
Great question! Because new formulas are constantly being added to the Spreadsheets product, no centralized list exists, per se. However, when you are in a Spreadsheet, if you click on the Fx button, you can see a list off all the available functions, which looks like so:
More info about working with formulas in Spreadsheets is found here on our Help site, https://success.workiva.com/help/spreadsheets/working-with-formulas. For a list of functions in Wdesk Workbooks, check out this post.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions on the above, or need anything else. Thanks, and have a super day!0This would be really nice to have as web-based documentation, even if it is nothing more than an automatically synched list of these formulas and their descriptions. The problem I find with viewing the formula names within the spreadsheet is that the descriptions aren't searchable (i.e., via Cmd/Ctrl+F as one could do with a list on a web page). Therefore if you don't already have a good hunch as to the name of the formula you might want to use / learn about, it is tedious to try to figure out whether there's a formula to meet your needs (and which it is) through this approach.
0P.S. For anyone who stumbles across this thread like I did, I discovered that Workiva does have this list now: Supported formula functions.
