Thinking about using business wire function in Wdesk
What benefits ($, time, etc) have companies seen? I'm also trying to understand how it changes the process on the Business Wire side. If you upload using Wdesk does it take away the type setting done by Business Wire and having to review there work?

Hi Jeff!
While I can't speak to the benefits experienced, I can help answer your questions regarding the process.
The connection between Wdesk and Business Wires is a ‘toss over the fence’ type of integration, meaning we create the file and provide that to Business Wire. When creating the DOCX, Wdesk will keep the formatting, including typeset, but its important to note that Business Wire will still have to convert the file digitally. You are able to review the digital file prior to its release, however.
I hope that helps answer that portion of your question. Should you have any additional questions, let me know and I'll be happy to answer as best I can. Thanks for the question and have a great day!0We considered using this functionality but it didn't end up saving us time so we passed on it. We found a challenge when we had different people in our organization having their hands in the pot. For example, if I were to upload the draft to Business Wire from WDesk, someone else couldn't go into Business Wire and see the draft I uploaded unless I first logged in to BW and pushed it all the way through the process. 0Hi Tim,
Yes, that is true that the same user has to push things completely through the process in Wdesk and retrieval in the Business Wire Connect Portal. That is part of our security functionality in the earnings release process. That being said, we are always looking for ways to enhance this process so thanks for your feedback. Have a great day in the meantime. Cheers!0Please sign in to leave a comment.
