Reassign multiple Sustainability Program tasks at once with Find & Replace
As mentioned in What's New in Sustainability you can now use Find & Replace to update the details of multiple Sustainability Program metrics at once, in bulk. This can come in particularly handy when you need to reassign metric values' data collection tasks to reflect personnel changes. For example, with Find & Replace, you can:
- Replace or remove a specific assignee or approver from multiple tasks
- Replace tasks' full approval workflow, including its steps and approvers
- Assign multiple tasks to the same assignee or approver regardless of their current assignment
You can access Find & Replace from Sustainability Program:
- To update tasks for multiple topics or metrics, select Program overview in the outline, then click Find and replace.
- To update tasks within the same topic or metric, select the topic or metric in the outline, then select Find and replace from its menu.
First, find.
As the name of the feature suggests, first find the tasks to update. Select Task details, apply filters based on the tasks to update, then click Find to view the tasks that meet the filters' criteria.
For example, to reassign tasks because their assignee or approver is no longer in the workspace, add an Assignee or Approver filter to find tasks currently assigned to that person. (Note that if you open Find & Replace from a topic or metric, it automatically applies a filter to include only the tasks within that topic or metric.)
Then, replace.
The Find returns all tasks that meet the filters' criteria. Select the tasks to update from the results, then specify the change to apply. For example, to replace the tasks' current assignee or approver with another workspace member, select Replace, then select the detail to update — Assignee or Approver — in Field, select both the currently assigned member and the person to replace them, and click Update all. (Note that you can update only tasks that are not Complete.)

When replacing instances where there are two steps for the approver, do we have the capability to replace them both? If so, how. I notice that the "Find & Replace" feature replaces them both with the ability to select only one approver.
