Change already used 'My colors' of 'File colors'
AnsweredLooking for a solution: When I exported the colors to 'my color palette.txt', changed the hex numbers to different colors and imported that same text file again to overwrite te existing colors, I expected the colors to change in the tables and images in which I used those colors. But they didn't. So now I am wondering what I am doing wrong. Is there a way? Or should I manually update all my tables to the new colors. As in 330 tables.

The color export/import is only the available colors and will not replace colors throughout document or style guides. Styles are the best way to update colors and have that flow across the document but that depends on how they are setup and used consistently!
0Dear Isabel Messore, Thank you for your reply. We are aware of the Style guide and we use it. My question was mainly about used colors in cells in tables.
0Lynn Van putten thanks for the clarification! I've just connected back with our spreadsheet experts. Unfortunately, we don't have table styles so there is no easy way to replace colors in cells unless its one of the attributes of table normal. The spreadsheets team has range styles on the roadmap which is how they plan to approach styling tables in the style guide. Looks like a pretty big project so it will be well into next year before its expected to be done. However, we'll be sure to keep the Community appraised on any updates!1Please sign in to leave a comment.
