Our new CFO really seems to like the Comments feature. I appreciate how easy it is to run blacklines for legal and auditor reviews.

The ability to have one source of truth for control data that can be linked across as many documents as needed, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal and external users completely changes everything when it comes to SOC and other control reporting.

Being able to copy and paste a procedure within an audit or from one audit to another is such a timesaver for procedures/tests that I do repetitively.

Data! Updating in one place and having it reflected across the platform has saved so much time!

Besides linking (which everyone has mentioned), the excel sync function. As a small company without the fancy systems bigger companies have, we can download from our accounting system into excel, and then sync directly into Workiva with just a few clicks. And thanks to linking, any updates are automatically pushed through everywhere in the documents.

Access to the Reports Experience and the Report Builder functionality is indispensable for our team. These tools allow us to tailor our view of audit projects. While managing an audit project, auditors can gain a holistic perspective within the reports, without delving into the minutiae of each project. We can review internal controls, their connections/mapping to narratives, risks, and issues - all in one place. Additionally, user-centric reports facilitate collaboration and enhance audit efficiency. I couldn’t imagine this tool/service without the Reports Experience, and the Report Builder functionality. Linking from a single source of truth has been a game changer for many of us in the reporting world. I also love how easy it is to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders using features such as send for review, processes, and tasks. Lastly, I've had the opportunity to work with some talented and amazing CSMs and PSMs over the years.

Linking, markups (and the ability to toggle on and off), and blackline. I'm a new user and I am blown away by how slick this tool is!

My personal favorite (this one was hard to pick; so many great contestants!) are outline labels and comments labels! I just love "flipping stuff to green"!

Workiva has a breadth of functionalities that teams can leverage to create greater efficiencies and improve the quality of information. The platform is well thought out, from the malleability of the tables to the powerful linking functionality and the customizability of user-defined preferences. That said, the best feature is the Workiva support structure. When you have a question, you can quickly navigate and resolve the item through the support team, the chat function, or the bite-sized online training modules. I wish more companies would emulate the Workiva caliber of customer service.

I really enjoy the Wdata feature! It makes it easy for our team to easily extract data from our SAP data base. We use the data for preparing our financial statements and performing analytics.

Workflow based review and approval of documents, multi-suer access with role-based security, tracking and aggregation of testing exceptions and corrective action plans and automatic alert and notification capabilities integrated with our corporate email system.

Certifications tool is very useful! And stumbling upon the feature to manually push out certifications one by one instead of automatically.

Spreadsheets is my favorite, when used in the overall context of linking to documents. Being able to have a spreadsheet functionality that is so highly capable built-in to Workiva has been a huge time saver. I love being able to use XLOOKUPs and text manipulation functions to automate things like captions and roll numbers in our documents.

Echoing a lot of what's already been said, linking is a fantastic feature and probably my favorite overall. However, I also wanted to mention that I love that the reporting immediately updates - and that my dashboard reports are live! Going from Workiva for one of my job responsibilities to a different platform for another responsibility where the reporting update delay is upwards of 5 hours makes me appreciate Workiva even more!

My favorite Workiva feature is single document version and scalability. We can collaborate seamlessly with unlimited users on a single document version. I have not come across this kind of capability with any other vendor application.

View overlay - Authorship. Being able to see who edited what and when is amazing to be able to see if items are getting updated, (outside of blacklines).
XBRL system - best in class.

Outside of linking (which is the single best feature), most recently we've started using the Blackline feature, and even piloting the Blackline across documents feature, and it's been a game changer for our team!

Linking is a terrific feature and is my favorite feature, it is a must have!
