What exactly does the Aug. 10 deadline mean?
I am increasingly concerned about the gaps in the new certification functionality versus what we are used to in Classic. I see the migration window just got pushed through the end of November 2023, so glad that gives us additional time. However, I'm not sure what the Aug. 10 deadline means. Here is the banner at the top of our certifications page (though it still says August 31 and I was told that is now November):
Update: the migration tool will now be available until August 31, 2023 for this workspace. Your workspace will NOT be able to create and run classic certifications after August 10, 2023. On August 31, 2023, Workiva will auto-archive all historical certifications created from the beginning of the account until August 31, 2023. Learn More
**What exactly does this mean: Your workspace will NOT be able to create and run classic certifications after August 10, 2023. Between August 11 and when we migrate (which could be as late as November now), we need to understand exactly what we can and can't do in classic certifications such as:
- Can we create a new process in classic?
- Can we add new letters to an active process in classic?
- Can we add new recipients to existing letters in an active process in classic?
- Can we move Closed processes to Active processes in classic?
Also, is there one place with up-to-date information on the new certification process and migration? I find myself sifting through a bunch of blog posts and outdated materials, and I'm sure I will miss something important. Given how critical certifications are to our control environment, that isn't an option!
Thank you!
