How do I automatically update section numbering after deleting a section?
Hello,
In the notes to our financial statements, we have a numbered list of notes (i.e. (a), (b), (c). etc.)
I want to delete section (b). When I do so, the numbered listing does not automatically update, such as section (c) becoming section (b).
Is this supposed to update automatically or can this only be done manually?

Hi William,
Thanks for your question! The section names will not change when sections are added/removed/moved and will need to be manually renamed. This is true of both the section names in the outline and the section titles in the body of the text. If you have a table of contents, it's also important to keep in mind that the section names will need to be manually updated there as well. We have an idea request in this post that would sync these three areas so that not all 3 have to be manually updated.
