Connect button grayed out for Spreadsheet Owner

One of fellow workspace owners has the Connect button grayed out on a Spreadsheet that he owns. When I made myself an owner, the Connect button is not grayed out for me. What else should I troubleshoot? Thanks!

    We figured it out! I just had to add him to a permissions group within the workspace.
