After you create a project, you’ll get a report dashboard for each report in the project that allows you to spot what’s at risk, drill into the details, and track the status of the reporting obligation all in a single place.
Requirements
- Your workspace must have the Multi-Entity Reporting (MER) Advanced, Fund Reporting Suite, or Insurance Suite solution enabled.
- You must have View files, Edit files, or Own report and files permissions to the report.
- To manage the report’s files or the report’s settings, you must have Own report and files permissions to the report.
Navigate to the report dashboard
To get to a report dashboard, first go to the dashboard of the project that contains the report. Then navigate to the Reports tab and click on the report.
Overview tab
The Overview tab gives you a summary of the report’s status and activity. You’ll see a variety of widgets showing different data.
Report timeline
The timeline card shows the report’s start and end dates, along with the report manager’s name and the filing due date for the report.
Process
The Process widget shows progress on any processes linked to the report.
You can click View all to open the Tasks side panel that’s automatically filtered to just the process tasks in the report.
Comments
The Comments widget shows a feed of recent comments from the report’s files, so that you can be updated on conversations without opening each document. Click View all to open the Comments side panel to see more comment details. You can also click on an individual comment to navigate to its location in the file.
Tasks
The Tasks widget summarizes the tasks in the report and their statuses. Overdue and at-risk tasks will be displayed first at the top of the list in this widget. Click View all to open the Tasks side panel to see more task details.
User workload
The User workload widget summarizes what each assigned user to the report has left to do. This includes the user’s overdue tasks, to do tasks, and comment mentions. Click View all to navigate to the more detailed workload view under the Workload tab. You can also click on a user’s row to open a detailed side panel of that user’s individual workload.
Comments and tasks by report section
The Comments and tasks by report section widget shows the tasks and comments broken down by the file sections in the report’s primary file. This makes it easier for you to assess which file sections of the report are on track and which need attention. Use the dropdown in the widget to switch between two views:
- Comments by section (default): This shows the number of open and resolved comments for each file section in the report’s primary file.
- Tasks by section: This shows the number of completed and to-do tasks for each file section in the report’s primary file.
You can click on any of the comments or tasks statuses for a file section (for example, 61 open) to open the Comments or Tasks side panel that’s automatically filtered down to the comments or tasks for that specific file section.
Workload tab
The Workload tab shows a full table of every user assigned to work in the report. You can also reach this tab by clicking View all in the User workload widget under the Overview tab.
Each row shows a user and their Overdue tasks, To do tasks, Comment mentions, and Total workload. You can apply a variety of filters to narrow down the list of users, and you can also sort the list by a variety of fields.
For example, if you want to only see the users with overdue tasks, toggle on the Has overdue tasks filter. If you want to sort the list by the number of to-do tasks (including tasks that are overdue), click the Sort by dropdown and select To do tasks.
Files tab
The Files tab shows all files associated with the report, organized into two sections: the primary file and additional files.
Primary file
Every report must have one primary file – this is the main reporting file that will eventually be submitted. You can click on the file name to open the file.
If you have Own report and files permissions to the report, you can click the three-dots menu next to the primary file to change the primary file or remove it from the report.
Note: You must add a primary file before you can add additional files to the report.
Additional files
The Additional files section shows a list of all other files associated with the report. You can click Add files to add additional files in your workspace to the report.
If you have Own report and files permissions to the report, you can click the three-dots menu next to an additional file to make it the new primary file or remove it from the report.
