After you create a project, you’ll get a project dashboard that gives you a single place to track progress across all your reporting obligations. Instead of emailing your team for updates or maintaining external spreadsheets, you can open the project dashboard and see which reports need attention, tasks and comments statuses, and how work is distributed across your team.
Note: The project dashboard only shows data for the reports you have access to. If you and another reporting manager are working in the same project but have access to different reports, your project dashboards will show different data.
Note: The project dashboard and its widgets only count the tasks from the files and processes that are associated with the project. Standalone tasks created outside of the report’s files or processes are not included in the project dashboard’s data.
Requirements
- Your workspace must have the Multi-Entity Reporting (MER) Advanced, Fund Reporting Suite, or Insurance Suite solution enabled.
- You must have View files, Edit files, or Own report and files permissions to at least one report in the project.
Overview tab
The Overview tab gives you a summary of all the reports in the project that you have permissions to. You’ll see a variety of widgets showing different data.
Project timeline
The timeline card shows the project’s start and end dates, along with the project manager’s name and the filing due date for the project’s reports.
Report summary
The report summary card shows the number of reports in the project, broken down by status. You can click View all to navigate to the list of reports under the Reports tab.
This card also flags any reports that need immediate attention:
- Overdue tasks: This flags any reports that have overdue tasks.
- Suspended users: This flags any users that have been suspended and still have unfinished work and how many reports are affected.
Click on any of these report issues to more quickly investigate their details.
Tasks
The Tasks widget summarizes the tasks and their statuses across the project’s reports and process files. Click View all to open the Tasks side panel to see more task details. You can also click any of the statuses (for example, 5 Overdue) to open the Tasks side panel that’s automatically filtered down to the overdue tasks.
Note: Tasks from processes that haven’t started yet are excluded from the counts in this widget.
Comments
The Comments widget summarizes the comments and their statuses (as determined by comment labels) across the files in the project’s reports. Click View all to open the Comments side panel to see more comment details. You can also click on any of the statuses (for example, 42 Needs review) to open the Comments side panel that’s automatically filtered down to the comments that need review.
User workload
The User workload widget summarizes what each assigned user has left to do. This includes the user’s overdue tasks, to do tasks, and comment mentions. Click View all to navigate to the more detailed workload view under the Workload tab. You can also click on a user’s row to open a detailed side panel of that user’s individual workload.
Comments and tasks by report
The Comments and tasks by report widget shows the tasks and comments broken down by the reports in the project. Use the dropdown in the widget to switch between two views:
- Comments by report (default): This shows the number of open and resolved comments for each report in the project.
- Tasks by report: This shows the number of completed and to-do tasks for each report in the project.
You can click on any of the comments or tasks statuses for a report (for example, 61 open) to open the Comments or Tasks side panel that’s automatically filtered down to the comments or tasks in that report.
Workload tab
The Workload tab shows a full table of every user assigned to work across the project. You can also reach this tab by clicking View all in the User workload widget under the Overview tab.
Each row shows a user and their Overdue tasks, To do tasks, Comment mentions, and Total workload. You can apply a variety of filters to narrow down the list of users, and you can also sort the list by a variety of fields.
For example, if you want to only see the users with overdue tasks, toggle on the Has overdue tasks filter. If you want to sort the list by the number of to-do tasks (including tasks that are overdue), click the Sort by dropdown and select To do tasks.
Reports tab
The Reports tab lists all the reports in the project. Select a report name to open that specific report dashboard. You can also reach this tab by clicking View all in the report summary card under the Overview tab.
You can sort this list of reports by the different column headers, and you can also apply filters to narrow down the list.
You can click Export to download the current view of the list as a CSV file. If filters have been applied, only the filtered rows will be exported.
