Workiva spreadsheets and the sheets (sections) within them must comply with the following naming restrictions:
Allowed characters
The following characters are permitted in a Workiva spreadsheet and its sections:
- any Unicode letter
- digits 0 through 9
- apostrophe:
' - question mark:
? - space
- hashtag/pound symbol/octothorpe:
# - ampersand:
& - underscore:
_ - comma:
, - hyphen:
-
For reference, the name must match the following regex: ^[\p{L}0-9'? #&_,-]+$.
Characters not allowed
Everything else. This includes . ( ) + = ! @ $ % ^ ; : / \ * [ ], emoji, and non-letter Unicode characters such as symbols and combining marks.
