What is 8-K Report Generation with AI?
With 8-K Report Generation with AI, you can use Workiva's AI to generate a first draft of an 8-K filing using a description and sources you provide. Workiva's AI will then use your guidance to do the following:
- Generate a draft: Workiva's AI generates an initial draft of an 8-K filing for the event you describe, including relevant SEC items and references to sources you provide.
- Reference peer filings: You can designate a group of companies for Workvia's AI to use as a reference when drafting your 8-K. These companies are then used to ensure the draft is in line with filings of peers.
- Provide next steps: Workiva's AI will create a list of next steps for the draft based on the resources and guidance provided.
This feature is designed to save your team time during the drafting and review phases of your reporting cycle.
What does the Early Access Program (EAP) involve?
We are looking for a group of users to provide feedback and test this feature.
- Timeline: Accepting sign ups now, program will run until December 2026 (end date is an estimate and is subject to change). General Availability will be determined through customer feedback and value realization.
- Time Commitment: An EAP kick-off call, independent testing, feedback survey and a debrief call.
- Cost: Participation in the EAP is free of charge
- Post-EAP Access: Post EAP Access is not guaranteed to EAP participants as your feedback will help determine our path to General Availaibility.
- Feature Preview Terms: As this is a pre-release feature, your team must sign the one-time Feature Preview Terms before we can grant you access to the EAP. These terms will enable your team to participate in this EAP as well as any future beta, early access, or limited availability programs.
- Generative AI Terms of Use: This feature relies on generative AI to power the solution. Customers who wish to test must be in agreement with our terms.
How do I sign up?

Mention that you are interested in the EAP for the 8-K Report Generation Agent when asked what you hope to accomplish. Please note that priority will be given to customers with the Advanced SEC Reporting solution.
