Prepare for draft simplified ESRS with Transition Accelerator
To help prepare for the draft simplified European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), you can use the ESRS Transition Accelerator — now available on Workiva Marketplace!
With this Spreadsheet and its connected queries, you can:
-
Compare the ESRS Delegated Act of 2023 and the draft simplified ESRS recently published by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), and identify changes between the two for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Note: Change types and explanations are curated from EFRAG's Log of Amendments, and offered for educational and informational purposes.
- Identify metrics in Sustainability Program related to ESRS, and decide how to adjust them based on the changes.
- Automatically generate import templates to easily add or update metrics based on your decisions.

Add multiple assignees to metric tasks
When you create a task for a metric in Sustainability Program, you can now add multiple workspace members as the assignee, such as to assign a backup or a cohort of subject matter experts. When a task has multiple assignees, any of them can prepare its values and complete the task.
Note: If a metric task has multiple assignees, queries that use the Program as a source return a comma-separated list of the assigned members; previously, queries returned only one assignee. If necessary, edit queries to accommodate comma-separated lists as a possible result.
To learn more, view Manage metric tasks in Sustainability Program.
Copy automations, attachments, comments, or outline labels to new Program year
When you add a reporting year in Sustainability Program, you can now choose whether to copy Automations for files created during the roll-forward. You can also now choose whether to also include attachments, comments, or outline labels — separately — in the copies; previously, you could only include them together.
Note: If you include automations or outline labels, choose whether to activate automations or turn on outline labels in each file's copy after the roll-forward.
To learn more, view Manage and roll forward years in Sustainability Program.
Include up to 1,000 topics in Sustainability Program
To help ease data collection, you can include up to 1,000 topics in a Program; previously, the limit was 500 topics. To learn more, view Sustainability Program feature limits.
