The Workiva connector's commands use IDs to identify files and items to interact with in the Workiva Platform, such as queries, tables, and spreadsheets.
Workiva files and items
The ID of a file and item in the Workiva Platform usually appears in its URL, which you can view in your browser's address bar.

Wdata table datasets
In a Wdata table, you can manage its data sources—such as uploaded files and connected sheets—from the Datasets panel. To view a dataset's ID, select Details from its menu.
Note: For a dataset based on a connected sheet, you can also view the IDs of the connection, spreadsheet, and sheet.
From the Connections panel, you can manage connections from source files or items in the Workiva Platform—such as Wdata queries or database reports—to:
- Sheets within spreadsheets
- Tables or charts within documents or presentations
To view the ID of a connection or its destination sheet, table, or chart, select View properties from the connection's menu.
