You can add custom colors under My Colors in your document to highlight important information, maintain a standard theme, and customize the appearance of your document's content. Use Import, Export, and Clear to customize your color palette.
Import colors
You can import a text (.txt) file that contains up to 16 colors to the My Colors palette.
To import colors:
- Open a color picker in your file.
- Select the dropdown next to My Colors and choose Import.

Select Download import template to download a .txt file that contains the formatting guidelines.
Note: You must add one HEX or RGB value per line or separate the values by a comma within the .txt file template. You can add up to 16 colors.

Select Browse to choose the .txt file you want to import.
- Select replace all existing colors or add only new colors to the existing colors.
- Click Import.
Export colors
Use Export to save a text (.txt) file of the existing color palette to your computer.
To export your colors:
- Open a color picker in your file.

Select the dropdown next to My Colors and choose Export.
The exported .txt file containing your existing colors can be imported into other files.
Clear colors
Use Clear to remove all of your colors from the color picker.
To clear the colors:
- Open a color picker in your file.
- Select the dropdown next to My Colors and choose Clear.

Select Clear to confirm you want to clear your colors. You can also export a .txt file containing the colors to your computer prior to clearing the palette.
