Error explanation
When downloading the ESEF package from the ParsePort Platform, the .zip file has a predefined name that is embedded in the package itself.
The error occurs when the ESEF package name does not follow the naming convention recommended by ESMA.
How to solve it
Check the name of your ESEF package.
The naming convention, as described in Guidance 2.6.3 in ESMA’s manual, should be:
LEI CODE-end of reporting period-version-language.zip
E.g.: 1A2B3C4D5E12345-2024-12-31-0-en.zip
You should always make sure that your ESEF package follows the above naming convention.
The most common issues are:
- (1), (2), (x) being added at the end of the file name automatically upon downloading several packages in the same folder.
- Manual renaming of the ZIP file to include the Company name.
