When applicable, extension taxonomies should apply preferred labels on presentation links. This is particularly a concern for total, period start and period end labels. Labels which are defined in other roles (terse, net or negated for instance) can also be assigned to preferred labels. Extension concepts may be defined with preferred labels.
Furthermore, ParsePort never overrides or substitute standard labels and only fills the gaps with preferred labels, such as total, when the taxonomy does not have them available.
