Carbon
Bulk upload Water and Custom data to Workiva Carbon
You can now add data for Water and Custom categories by uploading spreadsheets in any format for multiple locations. You’ll get suggestions to help you map the headings and values to fields in Carbon. To make sure the upload is successful, you’ll be guided to fix issues. If you need to take a break, you can save your progress and come back later. To learn more, view Upload data in bulk to Workiva Carbon.
Note: For Custom categories, the unit of measure in the upload needs to match the unit of measure used when the custom source was created.
Custom source emissions now follow the same scope accounting logic as other sources
Previously, emissions from custom sources were always categorized based on the assigned scope of the source itself. This was happening even when the consolidation approach and location/vehicle ownership type were configured to account emissions under a specific Scope 3 category (i.e., Scope 3, Category 8, 11, 13 or 14). Now, these custom source emissions are categorized under the applicable Scope 3 category.
This change affects new and updated calculations only. If you want to apply this change retroactively to existing emissions data, contact your Workiva point of contact to do a reprojection.
To learn more, view Measure custom sources and data.
Control access to account settings with more precision
7 new permissions are now available for team members with custom roles The new permissions are for company details, vehicles, groups, and data imports. By default, the new permissions will be checked for all existing custom roles. To learn more, view Manage team member roles and permissions in Workiva Carbon.
GRC
Evidence markup viewer scroll position now stays constant
The Audit evidence markup viewer now retains the scroll position when switching between tabs.
Presentations
Fix to Adobe-specific PDF rendering issues from presentations
When hovering the mouse over the bar or column on a combo chart the tooltip now displays below the label so that both pieces of information are visible, as shown below.
Sustainability
Programmatically add related Explorer content and tags to metrics within a Sustainability Program
The Sustainability API endpoints now support using the `frameworkReferences` and `tags` fields to programmatically add related Explorer content and tags to metrics within a Sustainability Program.

Return intent of IFRS SDS or SASB content in Query

Tasking
New Tasking Home features and controls
We’ve reimagined Tasking Home to make it faster, clearer, and more customizable.
Here’s what’s new:
- A fresh visual design. This provides a clean modern layout that is easier to scan and read, allowing you to focus on the work that matters most.
-
Quick priority filters. These let you instantly zero in on your most important work with one click:
- To Do
- Due This Week
- Overdue
- Enhanced filtering. Combine multiple filters to display tasks by combinations of Task, Due by, Status, Location, Created by, Date created, and User. Save time by creating views that show only what you need to see.
- At-a-glance task details. The upgraded task table now provides richer context in one place:
- Status (for example: In Progress, Awaiting Approval)
- Due dates with clear visual cues (for example: “Due Tomorrow,” “Overdue”)
- Approvers and assignees visible in the main view
- Linked locations without extra clicks
- Column Management. Customize your workspace display with flexible column controls, including the ability to reorder columns, pin important columns to the left or right and hide what you don’t need to see.
- Export Task information. Download your current task list for further review, reporting, or offline analysis.
