This article is for:
- Workspace Owners with access to CDP Portal
With Workiva's Sustainability Reporting solution, you can craft responses to the Corporate questionnaire from CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). To enable the questionnaire in your workspace, first set up your submission for the disclosure cycle in the CDP portal, with Workiva as your software provider.
Step 1. Add Workiva as software provider
From the CDP portal, add Workiva as your CDP software provider:
- If necessary, click Start questionnaire to set up your CDP submission.
- Click Invite team members.
- From Team members, click Manage software providers.
- Click Add provider, then add Workiva as your software provider.
- Copy your company's CDP API ID.
For more information, view Adding an API partner as a Discloser in the CDP Knowledge Base.
Step 2. Set up questionnaire
From Sustainability Explorer, Workspace Owners can use the CDP API ID to set up the CDP questionnaire.
- From the Properties panel, set up the CDP content.
- In CDP Questionnaire, select the current reporting year, then click Create questionnaire.
- Enter or paste your company's CDP API ID, then click Create questionnaire.
- When the questionnaire is ready, click its name or select Open questionnaire from its menu.
- From the questionnaire, set permissions for workspace members to collaborate on responses.
Tip: After you set up a questionnaire with your CDP API ID, you can click Create questionnaire to add another questionnaire to your workspace, such as for a new reporting year or to update your submission with changes from CDP.
Delete questionnaire
If you no longer need a questionnaire, a Questionnaire Owner or Workspace Owner can permanently delete it from your workspace. For example, if you create a second questionnaire for a reporting year to include changes to your submission from the CDP Portal, delete the earlier questionnaire to ensure members collaborate in the correct version.
Note: When you delete a questionnaire, you permanently delete its responses from your workspace. If necessary, update your CDP submission with the latest responses before you delete the questionnaire.
Tip: To retain a questionnaire and its responses but prevent its use for a CDP submission, you can edit its Permissions to restrict collaborators' access.
- In CDP Questionnaire, select the reporting year of the questionnaire to delete.
- From the questionnaire's menu, select Delete.
- To confirm the deletion, enter
Deleteand click Delete.
