The Smart Link library no longer displays links in trashed documents.
The Smart Link library no longer displays source Smart Links within trashed documents. Although these sources still exist and can have destinations in other documents, we no longer display these links within the Smart Link library given that trashed sources are not intended for additional use. This is particularly true for duplicate trashed Smart Links produced as a result of a project copy.
Range Linking
Improved Range Link Undo and Copy/Paste Behavior
We’ve enhanced the range linking experience with two key updates:
- Undo/Redo for Range Links: We now support undoing and redoing when creating or removing range links, or deleting a table that includes them. This provides more control and flexibility when working across files.
- Copy and duplicate content with Destination Links: When you copy or duplicate content that contains destination range links, whether from a document, presentation, or spreadsheet, any destination range links inside it will now be preserved. This applies to full table/chart selections, surrounding text, or when duplicating sections, slides, or sheets. Note: This does not apply to source range links.
These improvements make it easier to reuse linked content across files, while keeping links intact and editing more seamless.
