We're excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new Intelligent Finance features, starting with SEC Filing Intelligence. This initial release focuses on improving how you interact with SEC filings, helping you find information faster and with greater confidence.
This SEC Filing Intelligence Preview Feature is powered by Generative AI capabilities. By testing the Intelligent Disclosure Preview Feature, you agree that such Generative AI capabilities will be enabled in your account during the Preview Term and that Workiva's Generative AI Terms of Use shall apply to your use of the Preview Feature during the Preview Term.
What's included?
This first launch includes two key features: Filtering and AI Chat for SEC filings.
What is the timeline?
We plan to make these features available through an Early Access Program (EAP) in July 2025. General Availability is planned for September 2025.
How does SEC Filing Intelligence work?
Intelligent Finance with SEC Filing Intelligence streamlines your research process through the follow methods.

Filter SEC Filings: Easily narrow down your search by:
- Defining a peer group using company names or tickers.
- Selecting specific filing types (initially 10-Ks).
- Specifying a date range based on filing date.
- Providing keywords to pinpoint relevant filings.
- Review & Select Results: After applying your filters, you can select specific filings to feed into Workiva AI's context.
- Chat with AI: Once your content is selected, you can ask questions directly to Workiva AI, and it will provide answers based on the information within those documents.
How might SEC Filing Intelligence help?
SEC Filing Intelligence is designed to transform your workflow by:
- Reducing time spent searching: Quickly find the information you need within SEC filings.
- Providing quick answers: Get direct responses to your questions from the source documents.
- Enhancing confidence in data accuracy: Rely on AI-powered insights within a secure and controlled environment.
What is expected as part of the preview?
As part of the Preview, you will act as a partner to the Product organization to provide early feedback, evaluate the value of the overall experience, test and adopt features as they become available, and provide a reference to other customers.
Participants will receive:
- Preview access to SEC Filing Intelligence
- Support from Product and Engineering throughout all testing phases
- Influence over the feature design and development process
- Influence over the Intelligent Finance
Participants should be open to:
- Sign Workiva’s standard Preview terms
- Agree to Workiva’s Generative AI Terms of Use
- Provide feedback to Workiva on these features on a regular basis
- Serve as a reference to other customers via testimonials and/or Amplify presentations
