This article is for:
- Workspaces with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) add-on enabled
To help align your reporting with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), you can supplement your workspace with templates based on the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). As you prepare for a new reporting year, you can roll forward these templates, such as to incorporate any new requirements into double-materiality and gap assessments your company already completed for CSRD.
Note: Implementation services are required to set up these supplemental templates and files in your workspace; additional costs may apply. For details, contact your implementation partner.
Step 1. Select current and prior periods
To roll forward the reporting period used with the templates:
- From Reports, open the 1. Update current and prior periods report in 0. Data management.
- Select the current and prior years, and click Save.
Step 2. Identify topics for assessment
To identify any topics — including subtopics and sub-subtopics — to assess for the new year:
- From Reports, open the 1. CSRD topic collection assessment stakeholder assignment report in 1. Step A: Understanding the context, and add stakeholders to their respective topics, subtopics, and sub-subtopics.
-
From Assessments, create and send assessments with the 0a. CSRD topic collection assessment template.
Tip: If necessary, you can add the new year from Period when you create the assessment.
- After the assessments complete, review the 2. CSRD topic collection current period results report to review the topics to include in the new year's double-materiality assessment (DMA).
Step 3. Prepare IROs for assessment
To identify any new impacts, risks, and opportunities (IROs) to assess for the new year:
- From the 1. IRO collection assessment stakeholder assignment report in 2. Step B: Identification of the actual and potential IROs, add the stakeholders to assess the IROs for each topic identified in the 2. CSRD topic collection current period results report.
- From Assessments, create and send assessments with the 0b. IRO collection assessment template.
- After the assessments complete, review the 2. IRO collection current period results report to review the IROs to include in the DMA.
Tip: To update existing IROs, open the 2. CSRD topic & IRO library report in 0. Data management, and edit their details — such as names, descriptions, or time horizons — as necessary.
Step 4. Import new records in bulk
To update the assessments with any new records, such as topics, stakeholders, or IROs:
- From the Bulk import report templates Spreadsheet, open the Connections panel, then select Incoming and click Refresh.
- Enter the new records in their respective templates; for example, update the Topic Import Template sheet with any new topics.
- After you update all templates with their new records, click Publish.
- From Reports, open the respective data import report in 0. Data management.
- From the report, right-click Report data, and select Import.
- Copy and paste the new records from their respective sheet of the Bulk import report templates Spreadsheet, and click Create.
Step 5. Prepare updated assessments
To identify any additional reporting needs, update the CSRD assessments:
- From the 4. IRO threshold assignment report, set or adjust the materiality thresholds of new or existing IROs.
- From Assessments, update the DMA templates — such as with new topics, stakeholders, or IROs — and perform a DMA.
- After you receive the results of the DMA, assess gaps from the Gap assessment Spreadsheet.
- From Sustainability Program, add new topics or metrics as necessary for the new year.
