After copying a folder, you’ll receive an email including links to your copied files and a Copy Report. This report shows you the names of your new files and any linking issues that occurred during the copy process. To view a detailed list of removed and broken links, you can export your report.
Open the Copy Report
You can access this report from the email notification or from the Content page in Workspace Settings.
To view the report from your email, click View Copy Report.
To open the report from Workspace Settings (for Workspace Owners):
- From Home, click Settings.
- Select the Content tab.
- Click the arrow next to your folder and select Copy Report.
Your report opens in a new tab.
View the Copy Report
The Copy Report contains two sections: a summary and a Details table.
The summary outlines how many files were created, as well as the number of files with broken or removed links. You’ll also see the number of files that weren’t included in your copied folder.
The Details table lists all the files in the original folder as well as their corresponding copied file, if applicable. Click the link to open the new or original file.
If you chose not to include a file in your copied folder, you’ll see Excluded from copy in the New File column.
If your files contain broken or removed links, a number appears in the Broken Links and Removed Links columns.
To view these linking issues in further detail, you can save your report as a spreadsheet.
Save as a spreadsheet
If you need to view and edit your broken and removed links, you can save your report as a spreadsheet.
To continue working in Workiva, select Spreadsheet from the Save As menu. You can also save your file as a .csv.
Once you save your report as a Spreadsheet, you’ll see a list of links. The Status column tells you whether the link is a removed source link or a broken destination link—click the cell name in the Link Location column to navigate directly to the link. If the link was in a line of text, the cell reads Text Location.
