You can add and format content in your embedded tables just like in Spreadsheets.
Add and format text
To add text to a cell, double-click the cell and begin typing. From the Edit toolbar, you can change your text's font, emphasis, size, and alignment.
Add images and symbols
You can add other types of content, like images and symbols, from the Insert menu.
To add an image:
- Double-click a cell.
- From the Edit toolbar, click Insert and select Image .
- Select your image and click Open to insert it into the cell.
Note: Images must be in GIF or JPG format.
If you need to resize your image after inserting it, double-click the cell, then double-click the image. Click the Image Properties tab in the right panel to adjust the height and width of the image.
This panel also shows your image's name and file type. To rename your image, click Rename and type a new file name.
To add a symbol:
- Double-click a cell.
- From the Edit toolbar, click Insert and select Symbol .
- Select a symbol from the menu or open the Symbol Library to view all options.
Insert formulas
Embedded tables support the same formula functionalities as Spreadsheets. You can view all available formulas in the Formula Assistant or see a list of Supported Formulas.
To add a formula to a cell:
- Double-click a cell.
- Begin typing your formula. To view a list of formulas, click the Formula Assistant icon.
- To reference a cell in your formula, you can type its name or click the cell while entering the formula.
