With the Oracle® Data Relationship Management (DRM) connector, you can use commands in a chain to manage Oracle DRM imports and exports. For example, with this connector, you can:
- Run DRM imports and exports
- Retrieve export definitions
- List available imports and exports
Note: This connector is built by Workiva and connects to a third-party system. While our Support team can help configure this connector within your workspace, we are unable to troubleshoot or otherwise assist with any issues that originate outside of the Workiva platform.
Prerequisites
To enable the connection, the connector uses the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) web services interface. To set up the connector, you'll need:
-
The Oracle EPM web services interface installed and configured for DRM, which requires:
- Oracle Hyperion® EPM 11.1.2.1.0
- Oracle DRM, Fusion edition 11.1.2.1.0
- Access to edelivery.oracle.com
- A designated Oracle DRM integration user for the connector
- The integration user's authentication credentials
- The URL for the Oracle DRM web services to connect to
- The URL for the API adapter configured for the DRM application
- The version number, culture locale, and time zone of the DRM application
- To connect to an on-premise DRM application, the GroundRunner to use with the connector
Note: To connect to a cloud instance of DRM, use the default CloudRunner.
Set up the Oracle DRM connector
Note: To make the connector available for use in your organization's chains, an org security administrator first enables it from Configuration.
- From Chain Builder, click Connections , and then Create at the top right.
- Under BizApp Connection, select Oracle DRM and the runner to use with the connector.
- Under Basic Info, enter a unique name and description to help identify the connection.
- Under Properties, enter the connector's details:
Property Details Web services URL Enter the full URL for the Oracle DRM web services to connect to, such as http://drmobe:28080/oracle-epm-drm-webservices/drmServices
.Service URL Enter the URL for the API adapter configured for the DRM application, such as http://localhost:5240/Oracle/DRM/APIAdapter
.Product version Enter the version number of the DRM application to connect to. User name Enter the username of the connector's DRM integration user. Password Enter the password for the User Name property. UICultureName Select the locale of the language used with localized labels and messages returned by the DRM application. CultureName Select the locale of date, time, and decimal values returned by the DRM application. Time zone ID Select the time zone of date/time values returned by the DRM application. Note: All sensitive credentials are automatically encrypted and stored at Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)-256 encryption.
- Select the environments to use with the connection, and click Save.
- To test the connection, create and run a chain with the connector's Get Import Names command, and verify it returns a valid output.
Troubleshooting
If the connection to the Oracle DRM application fails:
- Verify the integration user's authentication credentials.
- Check the URLs for the Oracle DRM web services to connect to and the application's API adapter.
- Verify the version number of the application.
- For an on-premise application, check the GroundRunner selected for the connector.
