Connector to Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS)

With the Oracle® ARCS connector, you can use commands in a chain to interact with Oracle Account Reconciliation® Cloud Service (ARCS). For example, with this connector, you can:

• Download, upload, or delete files in Oracle ARCS
• Import transactions, balances, and mappings
• Convert comma-separated values (CSV) files to the native Oracle Enterprise Performance Management® (EPM) planning file format, or vice versa
• Run data management batches, reports, and rules

Note: This connector is built by Workiva and connects to a third-party system. While our Support team can help configure this connector within your workspace, we are unable to troubleshoot or otherwise assist with any issues that originate outside of the Workiva platform.

Prerequisites

To secure the connection to Oracle ARCS, the connector uses basic username and password authentication. To set up the connector, you'll need:

• A designated integration user set up in Oracle ARCS for the connector
• The integration user's authentication credentials
• The application to connect to in Oracle ARCS
• The service name, identity domain, and data center region of the ARCS environment to connect to

Note: The service name, identity domain, and data center region appear in the environment's URL, such as https://serviceName-identityDomain.arcs.dataCenterRegion.oraclecloud.com/arcscloud.

Set up the Oracle ARCS connector

Note: To make the connector available for use in your organization's chains, an org security administrator first enables it from Configuration.

1. From Chain Builder, click Connections  compare_arrows, and then Create at the top right.
2. Under BizApp Connection, select Oracle ARCS and the default CloudRunner.
   
3. Under Basic Info, enter a unique name and description to help identify the connection.
4. Under Properties, enter the connector's details:
   

   Property	Details
   Service name	Enter the service name of the Oracle ARCS environment to connect to. In the URL, the service name is the auto-generated string that immediately follows https://. Note: To distinguish test and production environments, Oracle appends -test for service names in test environments.
   Domain name	Enter the name of the Oracle ARCS environment's identity domain. In the URL, the identity domain is the auto-generated string that follows the dash - after the service name.
   Data center	Enter the data center region that hosts the Oracle ARCS environment. In the URL, the data center region appears immediately before oraclecloud.com, such as us1.
   User name	Enter the username of the connector's Oracle ARCS integration user.
   Password	Enter the password for the User Name property.
   Application name	Enter the name of the application in Oracle ARCS to connect to.

   Note: All sensitive credentials are automatically encrypted and stored at Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)-256 encryption.

5. Select the environments to use with the connection, and click Save.
6. To test the connection, create and run a chain with the connector's List Files command, and verify it returns a valid output.

Troubleshooting

If the connection to Oracle ARCS fails:

• Verify the authentication credentials of the connector's integration user.
• Check the service name, identity domain, and data center region from the Oracle ARCS URL.
• Check the name of the Oracle ARCS application to connect to.
