Within your workspace, you can set up multiple environments to help manage the development lifecycle of chains. For example, you can build and test chains in a DEV environment, and then promote them to a PROD environment when ready.

Add environments

1. In Chain Builder, from the Environments  build  tab, click Create at the top right.
2. To help identify the environment and its purpose, enter a unique name and description.
3. If the environment uses different variable values than the defaults set for the workspace, enter the values here.
4. Click Save.

Note: Chains supports a maximum of 75 environments.

Edit an environment

To update the name, description, or variable values of an environment:

1. In Chain Builder, from the Environments  build  tab, click Edit  create for the environment.
2. Update the details as necessary, and click Save.

Delete an environment

To remove an environment from the workspace:

1. In Chain Builder, from the Environments  build  tab, click Edit  create for the environment.
2. Click Delete.
