When working with especially large or complex chains, you can bulk update multiple command connections and runners directly from the Commands window. This eliminates the need to individually edit each node of your chain when updating connections.
Requirements
The following Wdata user roles can create and manage chains:
- Workspace Owner with the Editor, Professional, or Standard role
- Chain Owner with the Editor, Professional, or Standard role
- Chain Builder with appropriate permissions
Bulk update a chain's command connections
From the Commands window, you can manage all of the chain's individual connections and runners from a single screen.
- In Chain Builder, from the Chains tab, click Edit for the chain.
- Click the three-dot menu
- Click the Connection dropdown menu to select a different connections, or the Runner dropdown menu to select a different runner.
Note: An org security administrator can set up new connections and runners from the Connections screen.
- Click Save before exiting.
Update multiple connectors of the same type
To update multiple connectors of the same type:
- Use the checkboxes on the left to select at least two connectors of the same type.
Note: Once a connector is selected, all checkboxes for other connector types will become grayed out.
- In the new section that appears at the top of the screen, select a connection and runner.
- Click Apply to update the selected connectors.
- Save your changes before closing the window.
Filter the connector list
Click the Connectors filter at the top right of the window to open a dropdown list of all connectors used in the chain. From here, you can select only the connectors you'd like to work with and then click Apply to update your view.
