Activate a user
When you activate a suspended user, they can access Workiva, and their memberships to the organization and to their previous workspaces in that organization are restored.
Note: As a Service Provider Admin, you can't activate suspended users who have memberships in multiple organizations across different Service Providers.
To activate users as a Service Provider Admin:
- Go to the Service Provider Admin portal.
- On the People tab, find the suspended users you want to activate by searching or navigating through the list. You can filter the list of users by organization name for easier searching. Check the box next to their username.
- Click Add and then Activate users.
- Click Activate to finish.
Suspend a user
When you suspend a user, they are suspended from the organization and from the workspaces in that organization where they're a member. They won't be able to access Workiva while suspended. You can suspend one or multiple users at a time.
Note: As a Service Provider Admin, you can't suspend users who have memberships in multiple organizations across different Service Providers. A suspension won't change or remove any permissions granted to the account.
To suspend users as a Service Provider Admin:
- Go to the Service Provider Admin portal.
- On the People tab, find the users you want to suspend by searching or navigating through the list. You can filter the list of users by organization name for easier searching. Check the box next to their username.
- Click Remove and then Suspend users.
- Click Suspend to confirm that you understand that the selected users won’t be able to access Workiva once suspended.
