Pigment is a next-generation integrated business planning technology used for budget planning, sales forecasting, headcount planning, and more.
With the Pigment connector, you can use commands in a chain to retrieve data from Pigment, which can then be integrated with Workiva's SEC, management, and ESG reporting.
Note: This connector is built by Workiva and connects to a third-party system. While our Support team can help configure this connector within your workspace, we are unable to troubleshoot or otherwise assist with any issues that originate outside of the Workiva platform.
Requirements
To set up this connector:
- An org security administrator must enable the Pigment connector through the Configurations screen.
- You must create both an Export API key and Import API key (external link) in the Pigment software.
Set up the Pigment connector
- From Chains, click Connections and Add Connection .
- Under Connector Connection, select Pigment and the default CloudRunner.
- Enter a unique name and description to help identify the connector.
- Under Authentication, enter the connector's details:
Property Details Authentication type The type of authentication to use. Defaults to API Key Credentials.
Export API Key Your Export API Key created in Pigment.

- Select the environments to use with the connection, and click Save.
