Workiva's refreshed mobile app introduces new features for iOS and Android that deliver a seamless collaborative experience across your organization. Built for both executives and financial professionals alike, the Workiva Mobile app keeps your team in sync with a powerful set of mobile-first tools.
Simply download the app to your iOS or Android device, and in minutes you'll be able to find files, review changes, leave comments, and share updates. The Workiva Mobile app puts the power of Workiva in the hands of your team — no matter where they are.
Uncompromised security
Securely log into the Workiva Mobile app using the same username and password used to access Workiva on the web. And with Safe Login, you can use biometric authentication on your phone to quickly resume your session.
Plus, any permissions assigned to users on the web will automatically apply in the app.
Manage file permissions
If you're a file owner, you can manage file permissions through the app just as you do on the web. Simply tap Permissions from the File Details sheet or the file viewing options list, and select a user to modify their permissions.
Note: File permissions can be set through the app, but roles can only be assigned on the web.
Share links to files
Open a file and access its options, or view the file's detail sheet, to find a direct link that can be shared with other users in your workspace. You'll simply need to ensure they have the appropriate access to the file you're sharing.
Import and export PDF files
With the appropriate user permission, you can export PDF files on the app just as you can on the web. Exported files will be saved on your device.
The mobile app also supports the ability to import PDF files into a Workiva workspace. Once imported, you or another file owner can update the permissions and share a direct link to the file.
Quickly switch between workspaces and organizations
Tap the workspace switcher icon at the top left to quickly view your available workspaces and switch between them. Users with access to multiple organizations can switch to those as well.
Access comments and reviews
Depending on your permissions and responsibilities in Workiva, you may see a For You tab that houses all of your digital reviews and comments in a given workspace. This tab is effectively the mobile app's "launchpad" where any pending tasks are shown.
You can view and respond to comment threads on individual files in both the iOS and Android versions of the app. Unique to iOS devices, however, is a print layout view that shows where comments are placed in the doc.
Additionally, document files include a "Quick Viewer" mode perfect for adding new comments on documents and digital reviews.
Find, sort, and search files
The documents, presentations, and spreadsheets you have access to in Workiva are also available in the mobile app. You can view these files with the most recent ones shown first, or mark your favorites by tapping the "star" icon in the app. You can also search your workspace for a specific file name.
Create with Workiva AI
When you have an idea but just can't find the right words to express it, ask Workiva AI for an assist. It can quickly draft a response to get you started, or fill in the details along the way.
Note: This feature is only available to organizations opted into Generative AI.
Choose the language that's right for you
Workiva is committed to supporting multiple languages across the countries we serve, and the Workiva Mobile app is no different. Simply open the settings to choose the language that's right for you.
What can't I do in the app?
The following features are not available in the app at this time and should still be completed in the main Workiva platform:
- Adding new comments to presentations and spreadsheets
- Permissioned comments
- Notification preferences
- Content management actions
- Editing files and text within files
- Tasks, processes, and certifications
- Testing, compliance manager, remediation, assessments, planning, controls, risks
- Filing, Wdata, Chains, XBRL and Parseport

The Workiva mobile app requires the following operating system versions:
- Android 9 (Pie) or later
- iOS 15.0 or later
