While building a process and before you run it, you can edit various fields for multiple actions at once to help save time.
Bulk edit action titles
To bulk edit action titles:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Action title.
- For the selected actions, choose to replace specific text in the titles or replace the entire titles.
- If you choose Replace text in title, enter the text you want to find in the titles. Then, enter the new text you want to replace the original text with.
- If you choose Replace entire title, enter the new title you want to replace the original titles with.
- Review the matching actions to make sure you want to edit the titles for those actions.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Bulk edit users
To change a user for all actions where they’re an assignee or approver:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Users.
- For the selected actions, select the user you want to replace. Then, out of the selected actions, specify which of that user's actions you want to change by choosing Assignee, Approver, or Assignee or approver. For example, if you want to change the actions in your group of selected actions where that user is the assignee, select Assignee.
- Select the new user you want to replace the original user with.
- Review the matching actions to make sure you want to edit the user for those actions.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Bulk edit assignee or approval due dates
To bulk edit assignee or approval due dates:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select the due date you’d like to edit: Due date or Approval due.
- Select the new dates in the CHANGE TO column. Expand the row to see all the actions where the date will be changed.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Bulk edit assignee or approver reminders
To bulk edit assignee or approval reminders:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and hover over Assignee reminders or Approver reminders to choose from the following options:
- Set reminders to system default: You can set the reminders for your selected actions back to the system default.
- Turn off reminders: You can choose to not send any automated task reminders at all for your selected actions.

Customize reminders: You can customize the reminders for your selected actions according to your personal needs. See Send reminders in Processes for more details.
Note: You can only customize reminders for multiple actions at once if all of your selected actions have the same due date.
Bulk edit tags
To bulk edit tags:
- In the actions list, select the actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Tags.
- For the selected actions, choose to either Remove all existing tags or Replace all existing tags with new ones. If replacing the existing tags, select the category and value for the new tags that you want to replace the existing tags with.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Bulk edit certification emails
If your process has certification actions, you can bulk edit the email notifications sent to the signers for those actions.
To bulk edit certification emails:
- In the actions list, select the certification actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Certification email.
- Choose which certification emails (out of the certification actions that you selected) that you want to update:
- Select Unmodified emails (selected by default) to update the certification emails that still contain the default email content and haven't been customized yet.
- Select Modified emails to update the certification emails that have already been customized.
- Select All certification emails to update all the certification emails (both unmodified and modified).
- Change the subject line and email body according to your needs.
- Review the affected certification actions to make sure you want to edit the certification emails for those actions.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Note: Before running your process, we recommend that you verify that all certification emails are correct by exporting all process actions as a CSV file.
Bulk edit certification letter assignments
If your process has certification actions, you can change the certification letters that are assigned to those actions.
To bulk edit certification letter assignments:
- In the actions list, select the certification actions that you want to edit.
- Click the Edit actions dropdown and select Certification letter.
- Out of the selected certification actions, first choose the originally-assigned certification letter. This will give you the certification actions that are currently attached to that original certification letter.
- Then, choose the new certification letter that you want to assign those certification actions to instead.
- Review the affected certification actions to make sure you want to edit the certification letter assignments for those actions.
- Click Save to make the changes.
