Edit a certification action
Even if a certification has already started, you can edit it in the process status view in the associated process.
To edit a certification that has already started:
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the certification action.
- Select Edit action from the menu.
You can edit fields like the title, any signer or approval steps that haven’t already started, and the assignee or approver reminders.
Edit tags
To edit tags on a certification action:
- Go to the process status view in the certification action’s associated process.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to an action.
- Select Edit tags from the menu.
- You can remove existing tags or add new tags by selecting a category and value and clicking Add. If adding a new category or value, first click the Add button in the dropdown to create the new category or value, and then add the tag.
- Click Save to make the changes.
Restart a certification action
In a running process, you can restart certification actions by clicking the dropdown arrow and selecting Restart. Once you enter an explanation and restart the action, the certification action’s assignees will be notified that their certification tasks have been restarted.
Note: You won’t be able to restart certification actions in a completed or canceled process.
Move a certification action forward if signers or approvers are unavailable
Mark as signed or skip signer
If there's only one signer for the certification action and they're unable to sign the letter, you can sign on their behalf by going to the certification action's details and clicking Mark as signed in the dropdown next to their name. This will automatically approve the letter and complete the action.
Otherwise, if there are multiple signers, but one of them is unable to sign the letter, you can Skip them, and the certification action will move forward.
Skip approver
If an approver is unable to review and approve the letter, you can skip them by going to the certification action’s details and clicking Skip in the dropdown next to their name. The certification action will then move forward.
